At Amplified IT, our Regional Account Managers are committed to helping institutions get the most out of their Google Workspace for Education domain because many of them have professional experience in the education industry. When working with new and existing customers, team members like Robert Tiffey, one of the newest Regional Account Managers, use that experience to identify their challenges and equip them with the solution that will best meet their unique technology needs.
Meet Robert
Amplified IT is a Premier Google Partner known not only for our Workspace expertise but also for our exceptional customer service. To expand our reach and support more institutions, our Customer Success team has grown. Robert came aboard in August 2021 with a wealth of knowledge surrounding Google for Education and an eagerness to serve administrators, teachers, and students. “What drew me to Amplified IT was the focus on education,” he said. “I wish I had these services back when I was in the classroom.”
Prior to this, he worked as an EdTech teacher at St. Elizabeth’s, a parochial school in Rockville, Maryland. “I taught K-8th grade technology: coding, graphic design, digital citizenship, etc.,” he elaborated. “I also used Google Applied Digital Skills, a free curriculum Google provides K-12 schools, with my students.” Though he was in an instructional position, he wore other hats including that of Google Administrator. “I spearheaded getting the Google licenses for my school about 3 and a half years ago,” he stated. “I worked with CDW to purchase our Chromebooks and also acquired student safety licenses from GoGuadian.”
In his current position as a Regional Account Manager, Robert serves current and potential customers by educating them on how our products and services, like the Google For Education Audit, Little SIS Premium, Gopher Tools, and the Google Technical Collaborative, can mitigate their pain points. “My experience in education allows me to understand the customer’s concerns and needs,” he said. “The Customer Success team and I work to be empathetic and build relationships with schools. We also conduct consistent follow-up so that they know they can call on us when they need support.”
When the Customer Success team is contacted, customers like you engage with passionate, collaborative, and service-driven people who are ready to serve because they have been where you are. “My hope is that as the EdTech space continues to grow it acknowledges the deep skill sets that teachers have and that they can offer as employees,” Robert added. “Amplified IT hires so many people who have direct experience in education. My background is very much valued here and that seems to be what our customers like about us.”
Like all of our Amplified IT employees, Robert only wants what’s best for institutions like yours. He and the Customer Success team are ready to support you through your Google Workspace for Education journey.
